What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
The Energy Performance Services (EPS) group within Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Financial Services Manager to work closely with individual Account Executives to develop and execute customized financial offerings during project development, implementation and project close-out based on customer needs and Siemens requirements for all North American Regions and Vertical Markets. The Financial Services Manager provides internal financial services coaching and assistance during project development, (including pre-qualifying of potential prospects). The Financial Services Manager will partner with Customers, Suppliers, Project Managers/ Engineers, Sales, Procurement, Legal, Commercial Project Managers--as well as the Siemens Financial Services Division (the Siemens entity that offers financing solutions to clients). The Financial Services Manager will also support the EPS Finance Head with developing and analyzing key internal financial metrics in alignment with Global colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Provides financial services leadership, training, counseling, and support to the EPS team, including Account Executives, with direct interface to customers
- Identifies, qualifies, develops and maintains relationships with financial services providers (including Siemens Financial Services Division) required to support EPS projects
- Provides guidance to the EPS Management on credit risk associated with project investment, along with mitigation strategies
- Participate in Level of Authority approval meetings providing financial guidance as required Responsible to recommend Financing Exceptions and approve Escrow Waivers, as needed
- Research, communicate and apply changes in financial markets and tax laws
- Participate in the identification, development, deployment and support of new Financial Services offerings based upon customer needs, required to achieve growth and profitability targets
- Complete and analyze key financial reports; interpret data and communicate results within the EPS business and to Sr. Management
- Develop and maintain key metrics, scorecards, reporting packages and presentation materials as needed. Create and optimize reporting and analysis through Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, QlikView, and Qlik Sense
- Leverage data from various internal and external sources such as SAP, Hyperion and other IT tools.
- Provide presentations to internal and external stakeholders

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Required education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Preferred Masters
- Required experience: 5+years of industry or related experience in the development of financial strategies and products to facilitate sales of capital projects preferably energy related.
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments while meeting deadlines
- Flexibility and willingness for domestic travel of approximately 10%
- Other requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, ThinkCell, Power Point, as well as other PC applications
- Effective communicator with team members and with Senior level management
- Able to create and foster a team environment within sales, operations, and others and provide direction to assure accomplishment of business objectives. Ability to handle multiple projects and activities with strong organizational skills.
