Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Procurement Specialist 3 - PLEASE NOTE:  THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE IN HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Procurement Specialist 3, you will be responsible for:

  • In your activities you will place orders to meet production requirements for Siemens Healthineers
  • You will run open order reports to help drive material to support production
  • You will follow Material requirements planning (MRP) messages to push/pull delivery dates of purchased parts
  • Expedite material to meet production requirements
  • Interface with supplier quality, production planning and engineering
  • You will publish forecasts to help suppliers support requirements at Siemens Healthineers
  • You will independently solve basic and complex supply chain management issues
  • Set up advanced logistics process for purchased parts
  • You will work with supplier quality, engineering and planning to release Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to suppliers

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers

  • You will have an advanced knowledge of materials management processes
  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, SharePoint)
  • SAP Material Management module (MM) experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Lead cross function teams within Supply Chain Management (SCM) team
  • You will have excellent communication and time management skills
  • APICS/Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
  • Masters degree in Supply Chain Management

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of buying experience
  • Ability to work independently to solve complex supplier issues
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
  • #buyer, senior buyer, purchasing agent, procurement, supply chain specialist, supply planner
