Job description
We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Business Development Manager to help us meet our clientele; machine tool manufacturers to advance the development of digitalization. They are committed to developing and applying an effective sales strategy. The aim is to promote sustainable growth by increasing sales.
Tasks
• Develop, initiate and monitor actions to achieve agreed business objectives. In the event of deviations, develop appropriate corrective measures taking into account all interfaces and economic/strategic objectives and initiate them in coordination with the manager
• Sales support of the OEM sales teams within the LCB IN in the day-to-day business of digitization (e.g. mediation of technical contacts, promotion of the PG716 as well as the SISW product portfolio, quotation preparation, discount approval process etc.)
• Taking over the technical and strategic consulting of customers in the world of digitization, as well as supporting the OEM sales teams within the LCB IN in the creation of digitization concepts involving supporting resources (e.g. Siemens Service or external Siemens partners).
• Identify, analyze industry-relevant customers and, if necessary, ensure transfer to industry support. Needs assessment and planning of information meetings, customer events and training courses and implementation in the regions.
• Qualified evaluation of competitors and technological trends in the field of digitization (analysis, selection decision and analytical consolidation of the information provided by the assigned regions), derive and assess business perspectives, develop sales strategies and derive procedures for the assigned regions.
• Ensuring continuous communication between the region and the contact persons in the parent company as well as with and at SISW in the coordination of sales processes, the transmission and tracking of customer requirements for the digitization portfolio. Here, the interests and strategic objectives of the company's own business tasks are represented.
• Sharing information with OEM sales teams within LCB IN via Siemens-wide agreements (e.g. with external partners); to new and/or innovated products, solutions and services, etc.
• Controlling, evaluating and assessing occurring deviations, defining and initiating appropriate measures together with the OEM sales teams. Development of country-specific collections of documents (e.g. market share, region specifics, markets, trends) for compressed information for the management level.
• The implementation of the business objective agreement in the assigned countries on the basis of specified business objectives.
• Monthly controlling and presentation of business development (e.g. by reviewing/comparing current key figures for sales, earnings, costs compared to previous periods and/or planning)
Requirements
• Proven professional experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or in a relevant position
• Demonstrable sales success
• Experience in customer service preferably with manufacturers of machine tools
• Knowledge of MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce / SieSales)
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, further language skills are an advantage
• Knowledge of industrial digitization
• Knowledge of machine tools is required
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and maintain networks
