Siemens Mobility US is looking for aspiring data experts to come aboard for a 10–12-week internship journey where they will get exposure to what happens behind the scenes to make the rail world go round.
During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to help build and align the data models used to determine the Life Cycle Costs on our Maintenance Projects. This work will help in the setup of our new Project Asset Management Application, LiveMAST, which will be used on our TSSSA (Technical Sales, Support, and Service) Maintenance Contracts.

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and/or related field from an accredited college or university
Legal authorization to work in the US is required
Must reside or go to school near internship location
Root Cause Analysis theoretical and practical knowledge
Experience with 3D Drawing Tools, such as Pro/E or Crew View is a plus
Experience with Excel
Familiarity with the latest trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
Previous internship experience or relevant school projects
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Interest in exploring failure mode analysis using FMECA Testing
