Job Description

Task & responsibilities

•       Management of overall procurement activities in a project by channeling & bundling location views and requirements etc. towards Project Lead / CPO ; Holistic view mandatory; Information of Mgmt. (FIN P & project team) on the status of the procurement topics in the R&D project

•       Safeguard involvement of Procurement organization in projects/ Main Interface between PLM & SCM, PPM, MF, Suppliers on Global Project Organization Level

•       Drives & Coordinates Early Supplier Involvement / Global Supply Chain Planning / Cost-Out Lever Roadmap / Global Ramp-up planning  - in alignment with local PE Team

•       Drives & Coordinates Procurement Activities in support to GCMs and Local Strategic Buyers to reach Target costs / Lead Time / Execution of procurement Strategy

•       Reporting of CTG (Contribution to Growth) as KPI according to existing rules and regulations – and in alignment with the Local PEs (cumulation of project CTG efforts)

•       Contribution to the development as well as creation & implementation of procurement and supplier strategies (cross-functional sourcing strategy) in the R&D project in alignment with pooling strategies and material strategies

•       Continuous providing input to the project manager / CPO / K-PLM for product cost calculations, including Capex-Budget – supported by local PEs

•       Clarification & escalation of procurement related issues with cross-functions in the respective project, as well as suppliers in alignment with GCMs

•       Leading & coaching of location PEs in regards of responsible project activities.

Skills required

•       Several years of team leadership and technical experiences in an international management environment

•       Understanding of DI MC strategic rationale, value proposition, markets, competitors and products

•       Apply the full range of core elements of the innovation toolbox and cost reduction levers in order to optimize Material Costs

•       Excellent communication and professional networking skills within different cultures

•       Strong ability to lead, coach and develop global teams as an functional leader

•       Excellent problem solving abilities

•       Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe

•       Fluent in English – additional languages are always beneficial

•       Professional experience abroad (outside of home country) is a definite plus
