Siemens Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for Tax Manager position. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and flexible. One who can balance multiple projects using the digital tools of Siemens’ technology landscape to produce accurate and timely results in a fast-paced environment.

What are your responsibilities?

Prepare and review proforma federal returns using Corptax.

Prepare international tax returns, such as Form 5471, Form 8858 in Corptax.

Support the business from a tax perspective with acquisitions/divestitures. Determine tax implications of M&A transactions including tax planning aspects of restructuring of CFC’s.

Preparation and review of monthly and annual income tax provisions, including tax impacts of acquisitions/divestitures, and Provision to Return analysis using Corptax Provision.

Prepare and review consolidated/combined state corporate income tax returns, using Corptax, in-house or by third party preparer, including state extensions and quarterly payment calculations

Prepare and review federal consolidated return adjustments, such as intercompany eliminations, tax attributes and other complex tax computations

Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.

Interacts with the operating company’s personnel, third party advisors and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning and controversy issues.

Proactively seeks to streamline compliance process, and to create efficiencies through automation.

Proactively identifies tax planning opportunities.

Learn the organization’s business and contribute to problem resolution when issues identified.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Education:

BS/BA in Accounting required. Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting a plus

CPA preferred

7 plus years of experience in preparing/reviewing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns and partnership tax returns required of which 4 plus years of proven experience in public accounting

Experience with Corptax Software preferred, with SAP, analytical tools like Alteryx, and dashboard tools like Tableau experience being a plus.

Extensive technical and practical knowledge of corporate income tax, accounting for income taxes and M&A transactions required.

Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent digital literacy with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat required
