About this opportunity

As the Sr. Director of Lighting and IoT Solutions, you will own the most advanced sensor network product portfolio in the industry! You will be responsible for IoT infrastructure end to end, which includes hardware, software, and architectural decisions. You are a “Product Ninja” - numbers driven, analytical, knowledgeable about technology product features and the lighting market, collaborative, embodies a sense of urgency, able to work extremely effectively in a start-up like environment, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high performing products that the market loves. As Sr. Product Director, you will lead our company in taking a customer-centric focus into everything we do.

By being customer centric, and customer facing, you will thoroughly understand our clients' needs to help architect and optimize a solution to meet those needs. This is a great opportunity to make your mark at the most senior level at Enlighted!


What will you do?

  • Define, execute, and deliver our lighting and IoT product roadmap in collaboration with our hardware, firmware, and software engineering organizations.
  • Develop and manage the entire lighting control and IoT product P&L by working with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Success, Hardware and Software Engineering, etc. to ensure customer and stakeholder success.
  • Drive a customer-focused, agile, and fun approach to hardware, firmware and software product management.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and keep up-to-date on the latest trends to decide when to partner and when to lead with our own innovations.
  • Measure your success, defining operational metrics for each of your responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with larger Siemens to scale lighting and IoT solutions globally.

Location: Kitchener, ON office is highly preferred. Will consider candidates based remotely in CANADA.


What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • You have 7+ years of experience of product management (envisioning, specifying, and gone to market; shipping lighting control solutions or IoT products; includes both hardware and software).
  • You insist on making data driven decisions and drive your team to invest in data to inform future decisions. You can also present the data to a C-Level executive or an Engineer.
  • No detail is too small, you are hands-on when needed, and you have a relentless drive to fit all the small details into the big picture.
  • Customer Centric - Must have strong ability to quickly assimilate the existing product functionality as used by our customers.
  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Passionate, entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment; critical thinking skills.
  • Assets: Electrical Engineering or embedded firmware experience; people leadership experience; agile tools; agile development process (JIRA, Confluence…)
