You will have the following tasks:

  • Responsible for the vendor management in a project under optimum deployment of resources (by communicating with a team consisting of procurement manager, Project Procurement Manager, logistics, project managers, and commercial project managers)                                                                                                                                        
  • Defining procurement strategies in projects on the basis of Division-wide and Group-wide procurement strategies and ensuring their implementation, as well as identifying solution approaches and integrating diverse objectives to achieve the project targets.                                                                                                                                                        
  • Establishes proper sourcing and Procurement processes with the project team and controls all Procurement resources and activities in the project.                                                                    
  • Proactive introduction of universal procurement strategies into the project process (e.g. pooling in the procurement network) to meet global procurement strategy targets and simultaneously to ensure maximum productivity and fulfillment of cost objectives                                                                                                                      
  • Supports project calculation with reliable material cost data.                                                                                                                                                        
  • Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information to keep all project participants up to date with the latest information.
  • Coordinating with various managers both locally, regionally and globally for supplier negotiations to assure project spending is fully optimized                                                 
  • Acting as pivotal role between Siemens project team (technical & commercial) and global procurement team in driving the achievement of key productivity targets
  • Establishing collaborative synergy, strengthening the primary relationship with strategic suppliers in support of project solutions execution, for both products and services.
  • Heads up contractual and price negotiations and/or supports the specialist buyers responsible for particular material fields.

You are the ideal candidate if:

  • have a higher education degree
  • have professional experience in procurement, at least 8-10 years in the field of strategic procurement, further advantage: experience at a multinational company
  • English and German language skills are must
  • good communication and conflict management skills,
  • have an empathetic and proactive attitude,
  • willing to travel occasionally, especially to Vienna.
