- You will work together with our in-house customers on software architecture and system programming, with a focus on Linux
- You know the industrial requirements, functional as well as non-functional, of a Linux system architecture, e.g. performance, maintenance, safety or security
- As an expert for the Linux operating system, you implement new software and architectures for our embedded systems and assist other development engineers in an advisory capacity
- Your tasks include the design of reusable SW components for Linux user & kernel space, as well as documentation and architecture description
- You identify, track and integrate current and future technologies for successful implementation of new requirements
- You work on the implementation in the area of Linux real-time systems (Linux userspace & kernelspace) on hardware-oriented and efficient system programming
- You know modern IIoT technologies and their possible applications and how these can be integrated into systems
- You work in a highly agile development and research team, a high degree of independence as well as an intrinsic will to collaborate are the cornerstone of your work

- You were able to successfully complete your masters in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or engineering sciences
- You have several years of experience with:
- modern C++17/20 and also want to stay close to the current language standard when designing and implementing software systems
- real-time Linux (Preempt RT), kernel schedulers, kernel development, performance analysis, tracing, domain sockets
- well versed in open source culture and related code sharing platforms (e.g. Github, Gitlab) and have experience working on OSS components
- implementing and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) for different architectures (x86/64, ARM)
- packaging of SW packages and distributions (e.g. ISAR, Yocto, ELBE, Buildroot)
- build automation (e.g. CMake, Ninja, menuconfig)
- You prefer a Linux-based development environment at work and at home
- Good command of the English and German languages
