Our IT unit, Windows Platforms, is seeking a highly motivated manager and coach to lead our international Operations Team of 10 individuals.
As the Team Lead of Operations for Windows Platforms, you will lead a team responsible for delivering and managing Windows Server systems and associated services such as Microsoft Cluster, AD Services, PAM Service, OpenFT, etc. The Windows Server environment serves as the host for customer applications and internal managed services like MS-SQL DB, web services, and Remote Desktop Services. These services support Siemens' internal horizontal IT and various Siemens business units.
The Windows Platforms provides the foundation for essential business systems, including communication, factory processes, and customer client services. As an IT professional, you are responsible for supporting the zero-trust concepts and requirements currently in place in Siemens IT.
The team acts as an interface between vendors, connected service providers, and infrastructure providers, and manages these platforms globally for Siemens IT. Additionally, the team provides consultation to internal stakeholders on the use of this technology within their IT products and services.

Using your expertise, you will be responsible for:
- Managing an international team of technical experts
- Delivering a reliable and scalable high secure Platform 24/7, within contracted service level agreements (SLA) and with a high customer satisfaction index
- Supporting the implementation of public cloud solutions
- Optimizing and automating administrative tasks and customer demands
- Enabling a new server management solution for Cloud and OnPrem use cases
- Strategical & technical portfolio and platform development supporting Service Owners and Architects in alignment with different stakeholders internally & externally
- Motivating & Coaching the people incl. competence management

- You hold a university degree in computer science, IT security or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- You have many years of experience in managing international IT infrastructure and/or application operations teams (ideally IT system administration teams)
- In addition, you have a proven track record as a successful people manager with the ability to drive a highly motivated team
- You have a positive and constructive approach with a focus on team development as well as a strategic mindset with a helicopter view and ability to plan ahead
- You have strong work discipline and customer orientation
- Knowledge of Windows Server Environment and Microsoft technology, including Active Directory and Microsoft Cluster Services is also necessary
- You have experience with Public Cloud Infrastructure in AWS and AZURE
- Furthermore, you have a service-oriented mindset with a strong focus on IT security and customer orientation
- You have excellent communication skills in German and English
