Job Description

Objective of the Position: 
The TI Analytic and Data Governance Team within Siemens Energy SV is looking for data minded resources possessing a detail orientated mindset with either previous knowledge, or a strong willingness to learn, with regards to the power plant market. The applicants mind set and knowledge will be leveraged in order to validate changes and maintain internal data associated with our power plant fleet; such as power plant configuration information, marketing data, technical details, unique identifiers, Gas and Steam Turbine operating & outage data, Serialized Parts Tracking data ,associated personnel roles etc. Further tasks are defined as data stewardship/ data governance of the power plant fleet data with a close working relationship with IT on furthering functionality and improvements of the existing data infrastructure and its interface of data between multiple databases to ensure the alignment of data across all platforms.
TI Data Analytic and Data Governance Team provides a link between Siemens Energy and its customers by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting out unit and fleet operating statistics. This power plant fleet data and reports leveraging said data, is distributed to various downstream applications within the company, external customers and is a main foundational data resource leveraged by the organization for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include, ensuring Siemens Energy is providing the right products and services to continuously improve the in-market availability of our customers’ assets.  The High quality of our Data is an essential enabler to becoming a successful Data Driven Company. 
Primary Accountabilities of the Role:
You will be working closely with our teams in Berlin in addition to Orlando to promote strong communication between Siemens Energy colleagues all over the world ensuring database updates and additions are processed, validated, and entered to the highest global data standard. Candidate will also help to establish and improve the data stewardship and data governance processes for power plant fleet data.  This position is based in Gurgaon (India) and may involve working a morning or night shift in order to align with the working hours of colleagues in different areas of the globe.
 
Required Knowledge/Skills and Experience:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology/ Controls/ Electronic Engineering or a closely related subject 
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Understanding of steam turbine, gas turbine and generator components and operation are strongly desired
• Salesforce Power User/Administrator
• Very good Excel skills (Vlookup, pivot etc.)
• Familiarity with IEEE Standard 762
• Ability to review, format and maintain data in various systems
• Experience with Salesforce mass update tools like Workbench desired
• Experience with reporting tools like Tableau and Alteryx is beneficial
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality and process management methods is a plus
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus 
• Familiarity with (data from) FDM or USI is a plus
