Join our Middle East Legal department in Siemens Egypt in Cairo as Legal Counsel (m/f) for Siemens Advanta.
Your new role - Challenging and Future-oriented
You will be a member of the small International Siemens Advanta legal team and in this role contribute to the success of Siemens Advanta’ s Middle East business by providing practical legal and business advice for daily business operations. You will be embedded in the Middle East Legal Team.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Review and assess RFPs from a legal perspective in close alignment with Advanta’s Middle East business team
- Coordinate with Legal colleagues in Siemens headquarter, advise management on risks and provide legal support on issues that may constitute opportunities
- Negotiate and close transactions with customers and suppliers in Middle East for different Advanta business lines (i.e. Consulting, Development and Solution/Integration/Operation with a business-oriented mindset);
- Shape the future of Advanta by joining business in the discussion of new business models and develop legal solutions to make them work
- Cooperate with business to define the contract / legal strategy for projects, prepare contract concepts and educate the business with respect to legal and risk management issues;
- Manage actual and threatened litigation matters in order to mitigate risks and capture opportunities;
- Align with Legal colleagues in Siemens headquarter as well as our Legal Middle East Team across our regional companies in order to meet the rapidly developing needs of the Advanta business.
Your qualifications — Excellent and Proven in Practice
You are a fully qualified Egyptian lawyer with excellent academic credentials.
You have:
- At least 5 years of experience in the relevant fields of work gained in a leading international law firm and/or in-house in the IT industry;
- Experience in the Middle East market and professional services (consulting, software development) is a requirement;
- Strong negotiation skills and experience as well as the ability to effectively communicate with the business;
- Excellent professional, legal written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to participate in negotiations with clients, partners, suppliers and subcontractors
- Profound legal expertise and experience in the field of IT solution/integration business, in particular in areas such as RFP review, proposal development, risk identification and risk assessment, contract negotiations, and claim management;
- A good business sense, and you are passionate about working on international topics across geographies and cultures;
- The ability to effectively partner with business clients to jointly solve complex issues throughout contract life cycle;
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills, both verbal and written.
