DCP Sales Specialist (Industrial Communication Network)

Job Description

Responsibilities and Tasks: 
• Perform all the sales activities for the assigned territory and portfolio on industrial network communication components, systems and solutions 
• Achieve or exceed the annual sales budget, while achieving growth and profit targets for the company and total customer satisfaction
• Support current clients and partners in order to maximize and increase business opportunities 
• Manage all stages of new business development from prospecting and lead generation to proposal and closing new business 
• Identify and develop local system integrators and partners to increase business of DCP and to ensure successful implementation and support 
• Drive the specification of DCP portfolio in OEM design, end user projects and standards 
• Ensure complete territory coverage by coordinating with the managers of the channel partners 
• Pro-actively generate new business in new markets and new customer bases 
• Meet with customers and suppliers as needed to supplement sales calls and professionally represent the company 
• Maintain qualifications and technical education to support the sales function though continuous learning

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
• Five or more years’ experience in sales and/or projects, service and support, consulting in the area of industrial network switches, routers, wireless communication, network management systems, network security, network topologies, industrial 5G, Industrial ethernet, TC-P IP networks layer 2 and layer 3, automation systems communication, etc.
• Experience in managing channel partners and system integrators
• Domain expertise in utility, industrial, defense & public safety or transportation markets
• BS in Engineering or related discipline (optional but highly desirable)
• Knowledge of Ethernet networking (optional but highly desirable) 
• Strong work ethic and high energy level 
• Must be an intelligent, articulate, independent thinker who can develop a sales plan to achieve the results 
• Must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Comfort level and confidence in working with the executive level 
• Must be Fluent in one or more local languages and have excellent English language skills
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding quota in previous positions
• Experience using consultative approach to complex sales, selling the value of a solution and not just the functionality of a product
• Good organizational skills, customer follow-up and people skills
• Strong Interpersonal and relationship-building skills 
• Willingness to go on business travels (local and international) is a prerequisite 
• Ability to generate and qualify leads, manage and maintain project pipeline from pre-proposal through implementation
