Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking an Inspector-Tester for our eMobility (SI-E) Business Unit, focused on the DC electric vehicle charging portfolio.
The Inspector-Tester position is responsible for performing final inspection duties on DC Electrical Vehicle Chargers.An Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on DC Electrical Vehicle Chargers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sub assembly wiring and final assembly wiring work to the highest level of accuracy and Workmanship
- Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve
- Strong team player
- work with large power cables including correct method of crimping connectors
- Perform proper stripping and crimping techniques
- Assemble components on panels per given layout or drawings
- Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
- Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Requirements: knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years’ experience performing mechanical assembly (build) of product
- 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring
- Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings/layouts/wire lists with minimal to no supervision
- Experience working with standard hand and power tools both pneumatic and battery operated
- Must be a strong team player
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Preferred: knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances
- Associates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility
- Proven record in Quality and Productivity
