Baseline Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Authorized to work in the United States without need for sponsorship by the company, current or future
  • Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate or graduate student, graduating no earlier than May 2024
  • Preferred candidate is located in the Seattle area, open to remote candidates as well

Engineering Education Intern Siemens Empowers Education & Startups (SEES) is an organization within Siemens Digital Industries Software responsible for empowering students, educators and startups to create a more innovative sustainable future. The SEES team provides strategic services to the product and sales organizations in the form of:
  • Education strategy planning for segment, division, vertical and corporate groups
  • Global thought leadership and reputation marketing campaign
  • Persona, UX and market research to map journeys and workflow
  • Education content product and project management
  • Employee/student/educator brand ambassador programs
  • Internal stakeholder communications
  • Insights/reporting (competitive intelligence, trends, metrics)
As an engineering education intern on the SEES team, you will play a key role in supporting academic initiatives by working with subject matter experts, sales orgs and product teams across several domains, including content creation for social media and blogs, development of training, enablement and marketing materials, participation in stakeholder planning calls and developing solutions for our academic customers. You may also do some data analysis and visualization; case study and problem set development and attend customer meetings on campuses. In this role you will proactively:
  • Understand and work with the academic sales organization, product segments and the SEES team
  • Execute on our academic partner strategy under the guidance of a mentor
  • Drive the adoption of SEES strategic enablers through participation in our student ambassador program
Organization Requirements:
  • Studying for a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Education, Engineering Management or related field
  • Passionate about participating in a collaborative mentorship program
  • Proactive leader with a strong work ethic
  • Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and communication skills
  • Dependable and detail-oriented
  • Commanding grasp of Microsoft office
  • Inspire teamwork
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $44.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
