Job Description for Urban Retail – Wiring Devices

Organization: - Smart Infrastructure – Electrical Products

Position Level – PL 8

Designation: - Manager- Marketing - Wiring Devices

Location: Mumbai

Mission of the function:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for realizing the Business Unit's vision of enhancing Reach and Market Share in Wiring Devices
  • To explore unidentified markets and sectors for profitable growth.
  • Create an ecosystem of people and partners to drive the roadmap to support the above mission.                                                                              
  • Job profile:
  • Develop the strategy for Wiring Devices including defining the go-to-market, and regional strategy eg- partners’ appointments, and focus segment conversions like (Builders, Architects etc.)·       Achievement of sales targets from the assigned area.
  • Define the roadmap and milestones for success including the volume, and partner ramp-up over the period of 2-3 years.
  • Monitoring of business KPIs like OV, Revenue, Partner monitoring and development.
  • Network Expansion: Jointly (along with the team) develop the Partner ecosystem including primary (Distributor) and Secondary (resellers) channels.                              

       •     Work jointly with sales offices to generate new business opportunities and enhance share of wallet from Builders, EPC. Contractors, Architect etc.

How do I Qualify for this job?

·      Graduate with an engineering background and/or MBA with 10 to 15 years’ experience in handling Wiring Devices

  • Channel Management Expertise in online and offline sales will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Wiring Devices is mandatory.

·       Applicants with local geographical know-how including markets, distribution, and buying behavior will be preferred.

·       Ability to think through and strategize, understand implications of decisions in the short-term and long-term and act accordingly. Ability to conceptualize ideas and draw-up business plans.

·       Knowledge of Distribution Market, CRM skills, Key Customers, and Competitors, identify major trends. Good understanding of the Distributor Networks and their psyche. Understand key success factors in the Distribution market (Promotional Schemes etc.)

·       Should have demonstrated strong planning and execution skills, ability to lead from the front, mentor and coach team members to achieve desired goals.

·       Have good written and verbal communication skills.

·       Should be motivated to work independently with accountability.
