Position Title: Business Development Professional
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Assist in the development, implementation and execution of an overall chemical industry market growth plan, including major accounts, “second tier” accounts, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)s, Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC)s, system integrators, and channel partners with primary focus to process automation DCS in the chemical industry. Emphasize on the digitalization portfolio and be responsible for the achievement of chemical industry business targets, including order intake, opportunity pipeline, and account penetration with the emphasis on process automation and digitalization business volume in the chemical industry. Identify, qualify, pursue, and close process automation opportunities in the chemical industry by serving as the chemical industry manager. Assist teams including process industries and area sales for providing support to the process automation accounts in the chemical industry. Coordinate a virtual team for providing timely updates to the management on progress toward execution of industry preference creation and account penetration plans. Escalate key customer issues as is required to obtain satisfactory and timely resolution. Understand the primary business goals operations, challenges, requirements, and the organization of the customer. Establish and maintain relationship with key management personnel within chemical industry companies in addition to OEM and EPC’s that provide equipment and services to the chemical industry. Approximately 30% of national or international travel required.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Process Automation (Distributed Control Systems-DCS); Software Portfolio relevant for Process Industries; COMOS, XHQ, WALKINSIDE, PCS7, OPCENTER, and MINDSPHERE software solution promotions; Chemical industry processes, applications, business drivers, trends and issues, including end-user community and key EPC’s Digitalization portfolio; Salesforce.com; CAD & CAE Engineering tools. Approximately 30% of national or international travel required.
