System Architect/ Full stack developer / Protection & RTU engineer

Siemens Smart Infrastructure Norway are now building a new, local team that will be part of shaping the products and solutions of tomorrow. By bridging the domains of electrical engineering and software engineering, we believe we can deliver smart tools to enable our customers to operate their grids more efficiently, as well as contribute to reduce energy consumption.

Job assignments:
Be part of a team that is responsible for the complete customer journey from opportunity development to execution and delivery. Your tasks will include to design, enhance, test, and support inhouse developed software. Your day will be distributed between:
- Design system topologies, connecting OT equipment to IT infrastructure
- Develop software applications, infrastructure services and interfaces between these
- Discuss solutions and architectures with customers
- Provide estimates for modules under development and own work
Preferably multiple of the following qualifications:
- Master- or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, automation or electrical engineering or comparable education. Extensive and proven work experience within automation and control solutions for electrical infrastructure may compensate for formal education.
- Experience in agile/lean software development within industrial applications and environments.
- Up to date on IoT business, data governance and good data practices to provide better security and performance
- Technical knowledge of products used in remote control of process equipment and electrical infrastructure, such as Routers, RTUs/PLCs, Switches, IEDs.
- Ability to understand an end-to-end OT/IT architecture for the electric grid and position and communicate this towards customer
- Able to work in small teams (2-4 developers) that code and deliver new applications or further development of existing solutions for customers that are optimizing their processes.
- Experience with, SQL, docker, kubernetes, data analysis and analytics, AI/ML, Industrial IoT, cloud architectures (like AWS, Azure, Mindsphere) or automation in general is an advantage.
