Job Description

Transfer as a Service is an infrastructure used in SHS. It is a secure managed file transfer solution that streamlines the exchange of data between systems, employees, customers, and trading partners. We have customized GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer product to fit into our portfolio.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer product along with at least 5 years’ experience in working with Web Servers and Database servers (Apache), Web Application Servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat, MySQL). 2 years’ experience with at least two of the following technologies Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall, Proxy Servers, Reverse Proxy, Content Delivery Network. Understanding of Interaction between Web Browser and Web Server (e.g. HTTP Headers), Domain Names Service, Server Certificates and Basic Network Knowledge (routing, firewall)

Task and Responsibilities:
• Develop any/all necessary services for the infrastructure framework
• Work closely and in partnership with various operational support teams, development teams, project managers, vendors, and internal clients
• Ensures developed services comply with established CERT governance rules, maturity, and monitoring.
• Act as last level of escalation on the technical services team for all system/middleware/data transfer issues and assist in incident resolution and problem management
• Collaborate with the development teams on the platform and provide recommendations and guidance on solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on the use of data transfer services in the large-scale development of microservices
• Works within the team to develop and maintain service policies, procedures, and standards
• Manage, maintain, and monitor our Go Anywhere MFT Servers, Web Application Servers, Reverse Proxies, Web Application Firewall and Database Servers, Scheduled Tasks and Data Transfers (HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, Open FT, Windows-based and Linux based)
• Check, control, modify and apply security settings (following the principal of least privileges, document deviations) on operating system, service, job and application level
• Share knowledge across the team regarding workarounds, resolutions, and solutions as well as new technologies
• Troubleshoot and analyze incidents for services, applications or jobs running on our systems
• Analyze and solve problems for services, applications or jobs running on our systems
• Find, work out, test, check out consequences of workarounds, resolutions, and solutions
• Check, clarify, implement, and test service requests for services, applications or jobs running on our systems
• Check, clarify, manage, test, implement and monitor change requests related to our systems or services provided by us (e.g. web server software)
• Support implementation of change requests related to services, applications or jobs running on our systems
• Monitor services, applications and jobs running on our systems by using our Event Management Systems (Nagios, PRTG, Azure Monitor)
• Create and maintain documentation for all servers, services, applications, and jobs running on our systems
• Identify and assess the current mode of operation and design and document the infrastructure and provide service improvement plans  

• Overall 6+ years’ experience in Cloud Technologies and recent 2 years particularly in GoAnywhere MFT Servers
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
