Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You manage the solution architecture and further development of our Cloud Data Lake in alignment with internal stakeholders from different business and functional areas
- You ensure smooth deployment/operation of the Cloud production system incl. 3rd level support and coordinate operational constraints with technical and business stakeholders
- You design, develop, deploy implement and manage data cloud platform requirements, focusing on data architecture, data interfaces, security, authorization and data access management
- You engineer and automate our Cloud environments for security, reliability, monitoring and data provisioning to optimize operational processes
- You analyze innovative new data management components and methods (such as cloud platform services) and will pilot new solutions by designing and implementing initial proof-of-concepts

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a degree in (business) informatics, medical informatics, mathematics or comparable
- You have long-term experience in the field of Cloud Services, e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and have worked in cross-functional teams
- We also welcome applicants with a bachelor's degree or completed vocational training and further education in combination with additional professional experience in this area
- You have very profound technical knowledge in database and data warehouse technologies (especially Snowflake or Cloud DWH solutions) as well as in data integration, e.g. SAP SLT, Glue, Matillion and other ETL tools, and data streaming, e.g. Kafka
- You have very solid knowledge of enterprise data landscapes and architecture building blocks (datasets); experience with data models of SAP ERP, SAP BI and CRM software is an advantage
- You have very good experience in designing solutions using SQL (standard and procedural), scripting languages and data transformation methods (e.g. Python, Airflow and Azure functions)
- You have experience in software development with agile working models (DevOps approach)

- You liaise closely with project managers and development team members to understand technical requirements and to develop solutions accordingly
- You are a team player and can demonstrate influencing and relationship-building skills with clients, partners and people from various backgrounds and cultures
- Your fluent English enables you to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in an international environment. Ideally, you also have good German language skills for communicating with your German-speaking stakeholders
