We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Development professional to join our Queensland team with responsibility for developing the business with focus on Vertical Markets in Minerals and Food and Beverage in areas of Process Automation, Factory Automation and Variable Speed Drive applications. The role will be based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Head of Sales for Eastern Region, this role will be challenging and rewarding working with the promotion of Industry 4.0, “digitalization”. Your primary function is to position Siemens as a value partner to End Customers, Consultants and Solution Partners through understanding the key needs of the segment. You will be able to navigate organisations to connect to influencers and decision makers while being able to recognise opportunities that align with Siemens capabilities. You will need to foster relationships with the Siemens sales force to foster growth and increase customer loyalty.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Performing all required Business Development activities for defined customers in the Australian Market.
o Evaluating customer requirements to uncover sales opportunities
o Working with the Siemens team and our Master Distributor to deliver solutions to meet those requirements
o Preparing and submitting offers to customers
o Negotiating offers with customers
• Be the customer advocate within the Siemens organisation, taking responsibility for all customer activities ensuring a timely and positive outcome
• Perform sales administration tasks such as forecasting and reporting, pipeline management, CRM management etc.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a good to excellent understanding of Process and or Factory Automation systems including Variable Speed Drives as well as a good understanding of the QLD market. Your strong Business Development skills will be coupled with a very good technical understanding of Industrial Automation and the value and benefits of associated systems. Experience in Minerals sector will be highly regarded.
You must be able to communicate effectively and be able to build strong relationships at all levels internally and within customer organisations.
