This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Machine Learning Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Working on advanced Machine Learning projects related to the fields of Natural Language Processing and Data Science.
• Performing data transformations and exploratory data analysis, train Machine Learning models based on real data, and develop and deploy reusable analytical models for use in Lab Diagnostics products and/or to support the Lab Diagnostics business line.
• Independently developing and testing prototypes in an industrial healthcare environment, validate and communicate results to answer business-relevant questions.

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your career with Healthineers:

• Good theoretical understanding, experience and general awareness of the basic topics in ML/AI like Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time-series analysis, Deep learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Bayesian modeling etc. Experience with NLP is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with developing and/or implementing computational methods and algorithms for some among the topics above, for solving an academic or real-life problem of interest. Special consideration for candidates with experience with hands-on development of algorithms. 
• Capability to explain the results from ML models both in technical and layman terms and communicate and present to a wider audience in the organization. 
• Good programming skills in Python is a must. Good to have standard coding practices, strong capability to understand in-house codes and develop them further to improve their predictive capabilities.
• Experience with developing visualization dashboards and graphical user interfaces, for deploying models and results for use by stakeholders. PowerBI and Python Dash preferred.

Required skills to have for the success of this role :

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or related disciplines.
• Experience in Machine Learning and strong interest in advancing your skills in this field.
• Strong Python programming skills necessary.
