As a Business Unit Head you will be responsible for the overall management and profit & loss of the business unit in the Czech Republic, including overall management direction for the operations of the business, implementing business unit strategies and portfolio, long and short term business plans to improve market share and to build up the necessary competencies and maximizing synergies with other units.
Your mission will be:
- Develop business strategy for DI MC CZ business unit, ensure its implementation and expert knowledge
- Understanding the market and customer needs while planning sales and marketing activities to achieve business targets
- Define target markets / segments and develop specific approaches to enter / grow in these markets segments
- Define / implement and monitor pricing strategy
- Suggest / realize adaptation of products to local market needs
- Support collection and compilation of information on local market, competitors, business environment, forecast projected business & opportunities
- Select / guide and develop managers in the assigned areas
- Track business and conduct regular performance reviews to secure achievement & progress of measures and targets
- Optimize sales channel setup and management of sales channels in the local market
- Establish, support and maintain working relationships with most important customers
- Select, guide, manage and develop reporting staff. Ensure development of their expertise and capabilities, identify and develop talents
- Responsible for competence and resource management, and optimization of organizational set-up
- Early recognition of potential risk and (major) business impact - Lead escalation to avoid negative effect on business and to meet customer's needs
- Work in joint cross-group efforts of all internal business units / partners to create business solutions with best results for both customer and Siemens
Your profile:
- University degree in technical field
- Extensive experience in industrial automation and knowledge of Siemens products related to automation
- Knowledge of the Motion Control portfolio
- Proven experience and achievements in a leadership role
- Professional Sales skills as well as excellent ability to build long-term business relationships
- Professional ability to analyze the potential of the market and competition
- Extraordinary communication and presentation skills
- Networking skills
- Willingness for personal development
- Readiness for business trips mostly within the Czech Republic
- Fluency in English enabling easy business communication
