Senior Software Engineer C#

To expand our project with eight scrum teams and over 70 members, we are looking for an experienced software engineer who would like to experience exciting challenges and solve intriguing engineering tasks as a member of a cooperative, expert agile team, in a truly international work and project environment.

We are developing TIA-Portal, one of the biggest and complex C# code-based engineering system in the world, which is Siemens' flagship in the field of industrial automation and digitalization. It is an integral solution package used by, for example, Audi, Tesla, Volvo, and other premium brand manufacturers all over the world.

If join our team you will have first-hand experience of developing such a complex system.

But we can offer more. You can be part of the born of Siemens’ new powerful tool - the Device Framework (DFW). 

Unlike TIA-Portal, DFW is platform independent (i.e. supports both Windows and Linux operation systems) and scales from a device-based to a cloud deployment. It provides an API to be integrated into Siemens engineering systems, but it has no dedicated user interface.

DFW will provide a framework for configuration and parametrization of the modules in engineering system. It forms the core portion of Industrial automation.

It’s built on the latest technologies to provide robust security features that protects both the data and devices from unauthorized access and cyber-attacks. With these customers can easily integrate new devices into their existing systems, reducing the need for costly custom development.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the core element of an automation framework (Hardware Configuration and Networks, Profinet)

• Participating in sprint planning, supporting the preparation of quarterly development cycles

• Developing the implementation of new functionalities, prototyping, validating; participating in the architectural preparations

• Further developing the existing functionalities, resolving tickets on supported versions

• Tracking specifications, the writing of automated units and integration tests, and the result of the test runs

• Suggesting improvements for the agile operation of the team, actively participating in the improvement process

• Representing the team and domain area in an international project environment on an expert level, developing and keeping a partnership

Profil:

• 3-5 years of experience in software engineering

• Profound knowledge in object-oriented software development with C# and .NET Framework 4.8 or .NET 6

• Practical knowledge using SOLID and clean code principles

• Familiarity with software development methodologies

• You are proficient in both written and spoken English to communicate and collaborate with our international team

• An open mind to gain new technical and technological knowledge

• Solution-oriented, proactive attitude

• The ability to work independently and as a team member

Advantages:
