The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
We are looking for an Electrical Assembler III for our LV/MV assembly Integration team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. You will train at our Wendell, NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.
An Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.
Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $24.79
You'll make an impact by:
- Performing sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.
- Working with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.
- Recording job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
- Setting and using torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Able to troubleshoot problems with the engineering team
- Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ year of experience in Electrical assembly or a related electrical products assembly field.
- 5+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring
- 2+ years of experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with SAP and Salesforce
- Ability to train others and exhibits leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances
- High School Diploma or Associate’s degree or technical training in area of responsibility
- Proven record in Quality and Productivity
