Job Profile/Position Overview –

This role is pivotal in designing and implementing front-end solutions, test automation frameworks, and DevOps pipelines within the Cloud Application Services (CApS) organisation. The Technical Architect will apply expertise in Teamcenter, Siemens Test Automation Framework (STAF), and modern cloud technologies such as AWS Bedrock and React to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient tools.

The position directly impacts the usability, stability, and functionality of the Xcelerator Navigator platform, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust performance. Beyond the platform, this role strengthens CApS capabilities by enabling automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, supporting Siemens’ vision for scalable cloud operations.

Improved Usability: Develop intuitive front-end components and workflows that enhance navigation and reduce complexity for end-users.

Enhanced Stability: Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent quality and minimise downtime.

Greater Functionality: Integrate advanced AWS services (e.g., Bedrock for AI-driven features) to extend platform capabilities.

Operational Efficiency: Deliver tools that streamline provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance processes across CApS operations.

Responsibilities/Tasks

Solution Architecture & Design

• Define technical architecture for front-end applications and automation frameworks.
• Ensure alignment with Siemens’ cloud standards and security policies.

Front-End Development

• Build responsive, scalable UI components using React integrated with Xcelerator Navigator. Collaborate with UX teams to optimise user experience.

Test Automation

• Design and implement automated test suites using Siemens Test Automation Framework.

Establish quality gates in CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

• DevOps & Cloud Integration
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Teamcenter and related services.
• Integrate AWS technologies (including Bedrock) for AI-driven automation and scalability.

Performance & Reliability

• Conduct performance tuning and stability improvements for cloud-hosted applications.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions.

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with process engineering, product teams, and operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Document architecture decisions and maintain technical standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Core Technologies: Teamcenter, DevOps, Siemens Test Automation Framework (2 years)
• Front End: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Responsive, front end frameworks (2 years)
• Cloud Expertise: AWS (including Bedrock), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD tools. (2 years except new technology areas)
• Automation: Test automation frameworks, scripting (Python, JavaScript). (2 - 5 years)
• DevOps Practices: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), monitoring tools. (2 - 5 years)
• Strong understanding of scalable SaaS architectures and secure cloud operations.
