About the Job
The Sales Development Representative is Brightly's "front line" in increasing demand for the sales team. You will be tasked with qualifying new prospective clients and collaborating with other members of the team to achieve a smooth handoff of each opportunity.
This role is ideal for individuals who are coachable, resilient, and motivated to take ownership of their performance while developing strong consultative sales skills.

What you will do
  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound call campaigns, demonstrating resilience and persistence in high-volume outreach environments
  • Identify and engage decision makers by asking insightful, consultative questions to understand business needs
  • Take ownership of your pipeline and daily activity, consistently tracking progress and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and demonstrate attention to detail and accountability in managing prospect information
  • Continuously improve outreach strategy by applying feedback and coaching
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure a smooth and professional handoff experience
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence Tuesday–Thursday in our Raleigh (North Hills) office.

What you need
  • Bachelor’s degree OR 1+ year of sales, customer-facing, or business experience
  • A strong work ethic and motivation to build a career in sales
  • Demonstrated resilience, persistence, and ability to stay focused in a results-driven environment
  • A growth mindset with a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and confident presence
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in real-time conversations

  • Experience with outbound prospecting or cold calling
  • Exposure to Salesforce or another CRM system
  • Ability to apply a consultative approach in conversations
  • Demonstrated ownership of performance metrics, goals, or personal development

The pay range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 annually with a commission target of $15,000 - $25,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
