Siemens is looking for a Lean Transformation Manager for their Grand Prairie, Texas plant.

The Lean Transformation Manager will be the driving force in the journey to operational excellence at the Siemens Electrical Distribution Equipment Manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is crucial in developing a vision and executing a strategic plan to elevate the existing factory’s operations to a future state characterized by high performance, lean efficiency and continuous improvement. The Lean Transformation Manager will focus on creating a comprehensive roadmap for change and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence across the organization. As an experienced leader, you will engage your team and collaborate with teams throughout the plant to transform the existing complex Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing process to perform like a streamlined, efficient Make-to-Order (MTO) process.

You will make an impact by:

  • Lead the deployment of lean tools and methodologies such as 6S, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping across all departments, including mechanical and electrical assembly, fabrication, material delivery and robotic operations
  • Build and lead a high-performing lean transformation team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment with transformation objectives.
  • Optimize material flow and layout to enhance efficiency in material handling, assembly, and fabrication processes, including the integration of robotic or automated operations where appropriate.
  • Work alongside the data analytics and automation teams to identify, analyze, and implement best practices for lean operations.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation solutions that align with lean principles and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
  • Integrate lean principles into the factory’s safety programs, ensuring that all process improvements also enhance workplace safety.
  • Drive the factory KPI's meeting review and follow up with actions related to the meeting to ensure improvement.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or a related role within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading lean transformation initiatives in a complex manufacturing setting, preferably in the electrical or mechanical assembly industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization, with a track record of improving operational performance.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the electrical distribution equipment manufacturing industry.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Lean certification from a recognized institution.
  • Familiarity with robotics and automation in manufacturing processes is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $142,310 - $243,960 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
