Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Execute and supervise all civil works related to substation foundations, control building, cable trenches, equipment foundations, boundary wall, and other associated structures.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor manpower, machinery, and material utilization at site.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

• Conduct inspections of civil works and ensure adherence to quality standards (IS/IEC codes).
• Verify material quality (cement, aggregate, sand, steel, etc.) and approve usage after proper testing.
• Maintain records of cube tests, compaction tests, and other quality documents.

3. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with electrical/mechanical teams for interface works.
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and subcontractors for site progress and inspections.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and submit to the Project Manager.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) norms at site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working practices.
• Report and record any near misses, incidents, or safety violations.

5. Planning & Documentation

• Assist in preparing work schedules and monitor progress against plan.
• Verify and maintain site records, drawing registers, and material reconciliation.
• Support in preparing civil measurement sheets for contractor billing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 3–8 years of experience in substation or power project civil construction.
• Preferred Industry: Power Transmission & Distribution / Electrical Substation Projects (66kV–765kV).

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of civil drawings and structural detailing.
• Knowledge of substation civil layout, foundations, and earthing arrangements.
• Familiarity with IS codes and quality standards for civil works.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic quantity estimation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to relocate and work at remote project sites.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain timelines.
