What Will Your Day Look Like?


You’ll be based in Manchester where we encourage office presence to help you learn, connect, and thrive. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week.


As a Business Intern in the Digital Industries sector, you’ll work on marketing and promotional projects, help grow partnerships and improve internal strategies and communications.


Your role will include:

  • Cross-team collaboration – Working on ways to improve the collaboration between different business units and improve productivity.
  • Strategic Projects – Support various clearly defined strategic projects across the areas of partner growth, marketing and business strategy.
  • Market Analysis - Undertake Industry market analysis / Maintain business unit information to support strategy and business development activity. To support identification of white space and resource optimisation.
  • Employee Engagement / Internal Communications – Develop and deliver engaging employee communications, in written, social and video format. Support internal communication topics ranging from strategy to monthly team updates.
  • Customer Request for Information (RFI) – Support the business in responding to standardised Customer Requests for Information (RFI) or Customer Questionnaires and develop and maintain a repository for existing and incoming customer requests alongside Siemens responses
  • General – Support Siemens strategy and work closely with the sales and business management team in all areas to ensure success.

What We’re Looking For

  • Studying towards a degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Sound understanding of business and marketing principles.
  • Capable of liaising with colleagues and teams at different levels including managerial, project, sales and technical.
  • Intermediate/advanced level Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Some video editing experience or willingness to learn.
  • Some experience planning and running events of various sizes and audiences.
  • Analytical with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to present information in a simple and logical manner for use at different levels.
  • Excellent Team Player whilst maintaining an independent perspective.
  • Great all-round communications skills.
