As a Senior Power Electronics Expert (f/m/d) you support the technological and strategic direction of the Power Electronics domain within the Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products (SI EP) Business Unit.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Connect power electronics with the device architecture of protection and switching devices, ensuring compliance with low-voltage network requirements and relevant standards.
- Develop a deep system-level understanding of power electronic components for low-voltage protection devices.
- Define technological action areas, priorities, and roadmaps for SI EP, driving strategic initiatives for EP EMS R&D with a strong focus on power electronics.
- Lead pre-development and technology projects as a Power Electronics Expert, collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Prepare decision-making documents for new technology areas, actively shape project initiations, and continuously monitor market trends and emerging technologies.
- Apply a fundamental understanding of assembly and interconnection technologies for discrete power semiconductors and modules.
Your defining qualities:
- Education
- Successfully completed master´s degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology with a specialization in power electronics.
- Experience & Skills
- Many years of professional experience in power electronics for protection devices.
- Proven track record of several years in technology and innovation management as well as hands-on expertise in power electronics.
- Recognized authority and demonstrated impact in the field of power electronics for protection devices.
- Solid experience with low-voltage device technology and/or low-voltage power distribution systems (SI EP portfolio).
- Ways of working
- Ability to thrive in an international environment, bringing cultural awareness and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication capabilities combined with creativity and strategic thinking to influence decisions and drive innovation.
- Languages
- Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken.
