We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our powerful Calibre DRC (Design Rule Check) R&D team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the industry-leading Calibre DRC platform, which is crucial for semiconductor companies worldwide to ensure the manufacturability and quality of their coordinated circuits. You will chip in to the core algorithms and architecture that enable rapid and accurate physical verification of complex IC layouts across the most advanced technology nodes, directly impacting the success of next-generation silicon.

This is your role

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and robust software for the Calibre DRC product using C++ in a Linux environment
• Analyze and optimize existing code for performance, scalability, and memory footprint
• Identify bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions to improve runtime and resource utilization for complex DRC decks and large layouts
• Collaborate with product/application/QA engineers to reproduce and resolve customer-reported issues.

• We are seeking a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with a strong emphasis on algorithms, data structures, and software development
• With excellent programming skills in C, C++, shell scripting, python, and/or TCL/TK on UNIX/LINUX platforms
• 6+ years of demonstrated practice of software engineering experience developing tools in EDA tools. Prior experience with DRC is necessary
• An understanding of IC physical design, layout, and verification tools is highly desired
• Experience with multi-threading, parallel computing, and distributed systems for high-performance applications is a plus
• Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies is preferred. Must have strong analysis and problem solving skills
• Self-motivation, self-discipline and the ability to set personal goals and work consistently towards them in a dynamic environment
• Ability to quickly integrate in a team environment is required
