Dear Aspirant!

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team.

We are looking for: Mechanical Engineer (System _ Simulation Engineer / Mechanical – MV/LV Switchgear Engineering),

You’ll make an impact by:

·       Create, configure, and modify parts using NX 3D, including sheet metal and solid body modelling.

·       Convert components from assemblies to local bodies using Promote Body and Extract Geometry.

·       Correct and convert sheet bodies to solid bodies as needed.

·       Apply synchronous modelling tools:

·       Use NX's measuring tools to determine perpendicular distances, coordinate distances (X, Y, Z), and other key references.

·       Use the Clearance Browser to identify soft gaps and hard interferences and confirm touch conditions.

·       Group bodies and edit body groups as part of the simplification workflow.

·       Use NX journals (macros) for automating body renaming and repetitive tasks (training provided).

·       Perform advanced move operations using:

·       Apply alternative modelling approaches when synchronous tools are insufficient, including:

·       Design & Drafting

·       Develop mechanical modelling concepts for switchgear in both 3D and 2D according to NEMA standards.

·       Identify and define the scope for MV/LV switchgear, control panels, and associated components to align with R&D standardization goals.

·       Prepare BOMs, layout drawings, and specification review documents.

·       Ensure accuracy in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and sheet-metal structural design.

·       Execute independent NX modelling and deliver high-quality mechanical desi.

Use your skills to move the world forward!

·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience in Utility, Switchboard, Control Panel, R&D, or Design environments.

·       An advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

·       Minimum 4 years of proven hands-on experience with Siemens NX (3D/2D).

·       Experience with 3D/2D modelling using AutoCAD, Revit, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.

·       Strong background in electrical power distribution systems (MV & LV Switchgear/Control Gear).

·       Expertise in NX sheet metal, parametric modelling, solid bodies, Promote Body, and surface modelling.

·       Experience using NX journal macros (high-priority requirement).

·       Ability to read mechanical structural schemes, schematics, and layout diagrams.

·       Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and multitasking skills.

·       Work closely with engineering teams to create and refine technical design solutions for Siemens product portfolios.

·       Collaborate with Project Management to ensure a clear and effective project handover.

·       Engage with Marketing and Technology teams to identify market trends and support new project proposals.

·       Use PLM and business systems, including Teamcenter, SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office tools.

·       Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards for power distribution.

·       Knowledge of power delivery best practices and electrical product design guidelines.
