The EP Business Unit, located in Peachtree Corners, GA, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mixed Apparatus Pricing Manager to lead its Mixed Apparatus Pricing (MAP) Team. This pivotal role reports to leadership within the EP Apparatus Business Unit and is in the Peachtree Corners, GA office, with opportunities for limited remote working in accordance with Siemens’ policies.

The MAP Manager is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, and performance of the Mixed Apparatus Pricing team. This role ensures the delivery of competitive and profitable pricing strategies for large project opportunities involving Switchboards, Panelboards, Busway, Unit Substations, and other key products. The Manager will foster strong collaboration across Siemens Sales, Business Developers, Product Management, Project Management, and 3rd party Suppliers, driving continuous improvement and business growth.

You will make an impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Quotation and Pricing Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. This includes performance management, coaching, and career development.
  • Strategic Pricing Oversight: Define, implement, and oversee strategic pricing guidelines and processes for large apparatus projects, ensuring alignment with business unit profit goals and market competitiveness. This will include using enhancement of the algorithms and use of AI to further streamline the process for the MAP team and our customers.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the overall MAP team performance including for the queue and LOA, optimizing workflows and resource allocation to ensure timely, accurate, and responsive quotation delivery for all regions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact and strategic partner for Sales leadership, Product Management, and Project Management, ensuring pricing strategies effectively support sales objectives, financial objectives and project execution.
  • Profitability & Risk Management: Monitor and analyze team performance against profitability targets, market trends, and competitive pressures. Implement adjustments as necessary to maximize business unit profit while mitigating commercial risks.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee strategic relationships with key 3rd party suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and efficient cost acquisition for buyout products like substation transformers.
  • Process & System Improvement: Drive initiatives for process standardization and improvement within the MAP team. Collaborate closely with COMPAS support and IT teams to enhance pricing tools and systems (e.g., COMPAS GO, LOA tool). Identify ways for more efficiency using AI and machine learning.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to Siemens’ pricing policies, procedures, and ethical standards across all team activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective collaboration with the Standard Products Pricing team and other internal departments to ensure integrated and consistent pricing approaches.
  • Key Growth – Distributor Sub-Segment: Be a key part in distributor sub-segment, ensure objectives and pricing strategies align with the distributor sub-segment strategy. 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in business, electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 7 plus years of progressive professional experience in the electrical distribution industry, and 3 plus years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing pricing, quotations, sales, project management or similar commercial functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams, driving process improvements, and achieving strategic business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • An MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.
  • Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Strategic Pricing Expertise: Deep understanding and experience in developing and executing complex pricing strategies for large-scale projects within the electrical distribution industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Detailed knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, including Panelboards, Switchboards, Busway, and Unit Substations.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Exceptional critical thinking and analytical abilities to balance profitability, market dynamics, and competitive pressures in pricing decisions. Strong financial acumen and advanced math comprehension are essential.
  • System Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Siemens’ pricing tools (e.g., COMPAS GO, LOA tool), as well as expert-level skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences, from team members to senior executives.
  • Customer-Centric Leadership: A strong customer service orientation, both internally and externally, with a focus on delivering value and building strong relationships.

The pay range for this position is $129,520 - $222,034. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $129,520 - $222,034 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
