What you’ll be doing:

Work within the development team to extend and expand upon the features and capabilities for one of the products in our data analytics portfolio..
 Performance Areas
•    Be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for features within our products
•    Work with colleagues in the development team and other stake holders to understand and gather requirements as they arise
•    Transfer that understanding into well architected, scalable Golang coded solutions. This will be where most of your time will be spent.
•    Support the wider product team regarding software issues and questions that arise within the business and from customers
•    Work with the technical authoring team to aid their production of technical content

What will you’ll bring:

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or other related discipline

Required:

•    Fluent in English

•    Extensive experience with a high-level language

•    Some of this experience should be in Golang, however an interest in Golang and experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java is suitable.

•    Experience developing robust and scalable enterprise-grade code.

•    Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solutions to the wider team

•    Experience using software design patterns

Preferred:

•    Extensive experience in a software engineering environment is a plus

•    Familiarity with any of the below:

• Source control using Git
• Jira for issue tracking
• Make
• Continuous Integration technologies such as GitLab CI
• Cross-platform development experience (Windows and linux)
• Experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java
• Docker/k8s/Cloud Providers
• SQL Databases

The salary range for this position is $109,800 to $197,700 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
