We are looking for TCMS Control and Software Group Lead
You’ll make a difference by
- Define system requirements and interface specifications for vehicle control systems.
- Lead the design, implementation, and review of TCMS software components in compliance with applicable safety standards.
- Lead TCMS project teams, including effort estimation, hours management, and deliverable tracking.
- Manage TCMS deliverables in line with project development timelines and ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in TCMS design and development.
- Design and develop TCMS control functions using functional block diagrams in compliance with EN 61131-3.
- Oversee the preparation and review of software test specifications and ensure comprehensive design verification.
- Coordinate and support software integration and validation activities with cross-functional teams.
- Analyse diagnostic data, resolve complex system issues, and propose performance improvements.
- Develop and validate system-level TCMS concepts for locomotives and train applications.
- Take end-to-end ownership of software upgrades and new feature implementations following the V-model approach in compliance with EN 50657.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and service teams.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in the rolling stock domain, including 3–5 years in a technical lead or mentorship role.
- Proven experience in team leadership, task delegation, and resource planning.
- Strong expertise in locomotive/train control systems, testing, and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with MVB, WTB, and Ethernet communication protocols; TRDP knowledge is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of standards such as IEC 50128, IEC 61131, IEC 61375, and EN 50657.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results under tight schedules while ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
