We are looking for a committed, curious, and passionate leader to join our team as a Product Owner for our HMI Panels Firmware Development Teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product responsible contacts, stakeholders, technical experts, and architects to shape the future of our firmware components. This role is ideal for candidates with an embedded software background who want to move into or grow within a product ownership role. You’ll guide development teams through the full lifecycle—from requirement analysis to feature delivery—ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with product goals.

Your Mission

• Own and manage the team backlog, define priorities, and ensure alignment with product releases.

• Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable backlog items.

• Understand low-level firmware architectures and contribute to technical discussions, ensuring feasibility and alignment with product goals.

• Lead one or more firmware development teams and drive continuous improvement.

• Monitor progress, prepare and present status reports, and keep stakeholders informed.

• Ensure timely delivery of committed features without compromising on quality.

• Champion firmware quality and proactively identify areas for improvement.

• Drive process optimization, leveraging the power of AI to enhance development efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with Siemens processes, quality standards, and guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

We value potential as much as experience. If you meet most of the qualifications below, we’d love to hear from you:

• BSc., MSc., or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development. Hands-on experience or strong understanding of embedded software development is a plus.

• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps toolchain.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Experience in product ownership or team leadership is a plus.

• Familiarity with industrial automation, HMI Panels, TIA Portal, or similar engineering systems is a plus.

• Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

• No restrictions for international travel.
