About the role:

Looking for an experienced software engineer to join a dynamic, global, and rapidly growing team that is responsible for developing Simcenter HEEDS MDAO technologies. The position involves leading the development of new features and all aspects of software development from requirement gathering to implementation and testing. This position focuses on desktop software, but there is also potential for expanding into cloud-based technologies.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with stakeholders to help collect and review requirements for new HEEDS features.
• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain HEEDS features.
• Participate in peer code reviews and documentation updates.
• Follow all established development policies and processes.
• Help coordinate development activities with product management, quality assurance and technical support teams.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline.
• Proficient in application of OOP using C++.
• Substantial development experience within a production environment (commercial software).
• Good teamwork and cooperation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical understanding of optimization, design-space exploration, and software process automation.
• Experience in a collaborative, agile development environment with flexible resources and development assignments.
• Experience with OOP in Python.
