In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is implementing the European safety standards “European Train Control System (ETCS)” Level 1. Spanning 950 km, this project is part of the broader Egypt National Railways Projects and aims to enhance the safety standards, increase the number of passenger trains, and boost freight capacity.
Today, we are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Responsible for ensuring that an installation is completed on time and within budget.
- Responsible for the coordination of trackside installation and commissioning in Signaling & Communication onsite.
- Coordination of site supervisors related to daily activities
- Support to keep the schedule updated with all inputs from onsite activities
- Monitor and control all material that must be installed
- Act as an interface to the customer and internal/external suppliers.
- Ensure the technically flawless and economical execution of the assembly and commissioning work.
- Analyze disruptions and determine remedial measures with those involved, even if there are conflicting interests.
- Follow deadlines for commissioning and service work and coordinate them with the Project Manager and monitor compliance with them.
- Create and are responsible for the installation concept and are responsible for compliance with HSE regulations on the construction sites.
- Responsible for site-related reporting and analyzing and identifying the relevant KPIs.
- Support contract and claim management and monitor the quantity survey activities for the sub-supplier’s share of the delivery.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, electronic, and telecommunication or similar).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a relevant position
- You have experience in supporting complex signaling /Electrification projects in the rail automation industry in an international environment, preferably combined with longer stays abroad.
- You have extensive experience in simultaneous management and control of several teams of experts.
- Very good knowledge of English and communication skills.
- Committed to working in a pressurized environment with conflicting priorities and without permanent supervision.
