Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Milford, OH is $119,787.00 - $189,200.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Developing and implementing a range of features for a business process modeling application, enabling sales and pre-sales teams to engage in prescriptive selling; Designing and implementing efficient Java (Jersey) REST APIs for seamless data retrieval, enhancing client-side consumption and performance; Creating Microservice APIs for integration with Polarion, a product life cycle management tool, automating the creation and modification of business process and scenario models for Polarion Work Items; Developing and published APIs for integration with solution catalogs and project management tools, streamlining workflows and data access; Writing and optimizing complex MySQL queries to effectively retrieve data for the Data Access Object layer, ensuring high performance and accuracy; Contributing to the development of a Polarion extension for the business process modeling tool, enhancing functionality and user experience for Value Stream Engineering.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Java, specifically writing server-side code, enabling backend functionality, and creating REST APIs to handle requests and responses between client and server.
2. React, specifically building interactive, modern, and scalable web applications by creating UI components, integrating them into a design system for consistent user experience, and rendering views on the client side.
3. MySQL, including managing relational databases by retrieving, inserting, and updating data using SQL queries for efficient data handling and storage.
4. Git , specifically version control, tracking code changes, collaborating with teams, and managing code submissions through commits, branches, and merges.
5. JavaScript, including writing client-side code that enables dynamic and interactive elements on web pages in combination with HTML and CSS.
6. CSS, specifically styling HTML elements on the client side, ensuring the design is visually appealing and responsive across different screen sizes
7. HTML, including structuring content on web pages and defining headings, paragraphs, and links for a complete webpage layout.
8. Data Structures and Algorithms, including implementing business logic efficiently by organizing data and designing algorithms that optimize performance in terms of time and space.
9. Agile, including breaking down tasks into smaller iterations, enabling flexible, collaborative and efficient development to meet customer needs.
