Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Hardware Lead to drive end-to-end product development for industrial automation and energy domain solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, hands-on design experience, and the ability to guide a team through complex hardware development projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical aspects of embedded hardware projects from concept to production.

Perform requirement analysis and translate user needs into hardware specifications.

Guide and mentor the engineering team in board bring-up, debugging, and validation.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC-61010, IEC-60870) and manage EMI/EMC qualification processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for firmware integration, PCB design, and manufacturing.

Drive DFMEA execution and support new product introduction (NPI) with manufacturing partners.

Interface with external labs (TUV, ERDA) for certification and qualification.

Must-Have Skills

Domain Expertise: Industrial Automation, IoT sensors, Energy harvesting circuits, Metering, Substation automation & protection products.

Simulation Tools: LTSpice, MATLAB.

Standards Compliance: Minimum 3 complete EMI/EMC design and qualification cycles from external labs like TUV or ERDA.

Product Development: Strong knowledge of end-to-end product development lifecycle including design, prototyping, validation, certification, and production.

Firmware Understanding: Familiarity with firmware flow, concepts, and Python scripting.

Board Bring-Up: Ability to independently bring up hardware boards or guide the team.

MCUs: Experience with 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers (STMicroelectronics, TI preferred).

Analog & Digital Design: ADC/DAC design, digital logic, memory interfaces (SDRAM, DDR, QSPI Flash).

Power Design: Low-power (<50W) isolated power supply design (Buck, Buck-Boost, LDO).

Communication Protocols: Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, SPI, I2C, UART, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, BLE.

PCB Design: Understanding of layout, stack-up, DFM principles.

DFMEA: Proven experience in leading/executing DFMEA.

Manufacturing: Hands-on experience with NPI and working with manufacturing facilities.
