Your mission in our team

Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens, pioneering transport solutions that make infrastructure intelligent, enhance passenger experience, and guarantee availability worldwide. As Technical Project Leader, you'll take the helm of engineering activities for signaling projects in Spain, orchestrating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring flawless technical strategy, and delivering world-class solutions that shape the future of mobility. You'll bridge engineering excellence with project success, from initial specifications through commissioning and beyond.

Challenges that await

Technical Leadership & Strategy

Lead the overall technical direction, planning, and steering of assigned engineering projects

Facilitate seamless collaboration across the engineering project team, ensuring alignment and excellence

Develop and execute comprehensive technical strategies that drive project success

Project Management & Delivery

Own the engineering technical management of projects, ensuring delivery meets scope, milestones, cost, and quality targets

Control project tasks and deliverables against agreed schedules

Manage budget allocation for the engineering portion of assigned projects

Oversee team member assignments and resource allocation

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Serve as the primary interface between engineering, Project Manager, and Commercial Project Manager

Create technical reports addressing engineering matters for clients and internal stakeholders

Report project status, completion, risks, opportunities, and budget performance to Technical Project Lead Management

Communicate effectively across international and multidisciplinary teams

Continuous Improvement & Learning

Identify technical challenges, analyze root causes, and distribute lessons learned across the team

Drive continuous improvement in internal processes and departmental capabilities

Foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing

What will make your application stand out

Minimum 5 years of experience in international rail signaling engineering projects

Comprehensive knowledge of the complete signaling project lifecycle: requirements specification, design, development, testing, commissioning, and warranty support

Proven ability to control and manage project tasks and deliverables according to schedule

Strong leadership capabilities with experience coaching and developing technical teams

Demonstrated expertise in team management with excellent communication skills

Advanced proficiency with planning and project management tools

Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of process optimization

Experience working successfully in international, multidisciplinary environments

Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)

Willingness to travel as project requirements demand

You'll thrive even more if you also bring

Experience managing multiple concurrent projects

Knowledge of rail signaling standards and regulations (CENELEC, EN 50128, etc.)

Familiarity with agile project management methodologies

Background in quality assurance and risk management

Experience with digital transformation in railway projects

Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar)

Previous experience with Siemens Mobility or similar large-scale transport solutions
