About the role

We are looking for an Engagement Architect to join our Professional Services team in Pretoria, South Africa, supporting customers across both Africa and the Middle East. This regional role bridges Sales and Services, translating customer vision into deliverable project scopes across the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, with the majority of engagements focused on our CAD and PLM solutions.

This is an excellent career opportunity for an engineer who wants to step into a customer‑facing, commercially minded role while staying close to real engineering and digital transformation. You’ll gain exposure to high‑impact projects across multiple industries and a clear development path toward future Engagement Management and leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape customer engagements by translating solution vision into technical scope, estimates and Statements of Work.
• Bridge Sales & Services to ensure alignment on deliverables, commercial viability and delivery quality.
• Engage directly with customers across key industries (automotive, defence, manufacturing).
• Support the Engagement Manager with work-pack creation, risk identification, costing and resource alignment.
• Collaborate with Sales, PreSales, Delivery and Portfolio teams to support opportunity shaping and account strategy.
• Contribute to delivery success through onboarding support and participation in governance forums

Qualifications

• Engineering background (mechanical, industrial or similar).
• Experience with CAD/PLM tools or engineering software environments.
• Ability to define scopes, work-packs, estimates and risks.
• Commercial awareness (margins, modelling, costing).
• Customer-facing experience such as Sales Engineer, Application Engineer or Account Manager.
• Fluent in English.
