As Operations Manager for Order Delivery Management within the Business Line MarCom, Sales and Delivery, you will lead and manage ODM service teams (approx. 60 colleagues) located in the GBS Central Eastern Europe Hub. You will be accountable for operational excellence, people leadership, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction across Order Management and Contract Administration services.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations for Order Management and Contract Administration teams, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs), process standards, and internal controls.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Closely collaborate with internal customers to identify optimization opportunities and align on strategic improvements.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
Digitalization & Continuous Improvement
- Actively drive and participate in digitalization initiatives to enhance processes, efficiency, and user experience.
- Promote automation and standardization while encouraging innovation across teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Cooperate with other service lines — including Credit & Collection Services and Sales / After-Sales Services — to secure seamless end-to-end process delivery.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop ODM teams by providing strategic direction, coaching, motivation, and constructive feedback.
- Promote a positive work culture focused on performance, engagement, communication and retention.
- Ensure adequate training, knowledge-sharing, and skill development.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze KPIs, operational metrics, and capacity to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Translate insights into actionable plans and initiatives.
Business Growth & Financial Management
- Identify and pursue opportunities for further business expansion within the service scope.
- Support budget planning and take responsibility for the financial performance of your service area.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in an operational management role, ideally within Shared Services, Business Services, or a global corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Order Delivery Management, Order Management, Contract Administration or related end-to-end processes in a mid- to large-sized international company.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to influence, inspire, and guide teams through change.
- Fluent in English & German, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High IT affinity and demonstrated experience with digitalization and process automation.
- Strong analytical abilities, structured thinking, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in agile and project-driven environments.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, adaptable, and possessing a growth mindset.
