You’ll create impact by:

1. Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, technical training, and competency development programs.
  • Allocate resources and manage daily engineering workload to ensure timely delivery of engineering packages.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Technical Leadership
  • Oversee the preparation of SLDs, GA drawings, BOMs, Schematic, Engineering Calculation  and compliance documents for LV/MV switchgear systems.
  • Ensure all engineered solutions comply with standards, customer specifications, utility requirements, and internal quality processes.
  • Review and approve complex engineering designs, custom solutions, and non-standard applications.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams during tendering, project kick-off, and customer meetings.
3. Process & Quality Management
  • Implement and maintain engineering procedures, design standards, and best practices.
  • Drive standardization of engineering templates, tools, and workflows.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and are handed over to production smoothly.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Procurement to resolve technical issues

4. Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Projects, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on technical solutions.
  • Participate in customer technical discussions, FATs, and design review meetings as required.
  • Provide expert guidance on product selection, design optimization, and cost effective engineering solutions.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Encourage the adoption of digital tools (preferred EPLAN) to improve engineering efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and lead time through design optimization and process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technologies, components, and design methodologies to strengthen the company’s product portfolio.
Your defining qualities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience
  • 8–12+ years of experience in application/design engineering within switchgear panel manufacturing (LV/MV).
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong experience working with Standards, utility specifications, and major OEM components (e.g: Siemens and other brands etc.).

Technical Competencies
  • Deep knowledge of LV & MV switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, control panels, protection systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of BOM creation, product costing, and design optimization.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, SLDs, schematics, and layout drawings.

  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure environments and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision making, and analytical skills.
