Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales & Business Development Manager with strong expertise in gas turbines (including aero-derivatives) in combined /open cycle, cogeneration/tr-generation solutions, and distributed power systems and Oil and Gas (onshore/offshore). The ideal candidate will drive market development, customer engagement, technical‐commercial proposals, and sales growth for gas turbine-based solutions across the India region.
This role requires a deep understanding of the Indian power & energy sector, Gas Turbine technology, project development cycles, OEM offerings, and customer purchasing behavior.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to position our Gas turbines including aeroderivative gas turbines (2 MW to 600 MW class) in utilities, IPPs, O&G, industrial captive power, and process industries.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including customer engagement, solution development, proposal submission, negotiations, and order finalization.
- Develop regional sales strategies to achieve annual order intake and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline through market intelligence and early customer engagement.
2. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with EPC contractors, Consultants, End-users, Government agencies and all relevant strategic partners.
- Conduct technical and commercial discussions, presentations, and product demos with customers.
- Establish CXO- and decision-maker-level relationships to support long-term business growth.
3. Technical & Commercial Proposal Management
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and global proposal teams to prepare techno-commercial offers, budgets, and configurations.
- Review technical specifications, tender documents, and RFQs to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
- Support contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and bid clarifications.
4. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
- Track market trends, customer investment plans, and regulatory developments in India’s gas-based power and industrial energy segments.
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing movements, and project landscapes.
- Develop market-entry strategies for new products and technologies.
5. Marketing & Product Promotion
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, events, seminars, and customer workshops.
- Prepare product collaterals, case studies, and application notes tailored for the India market.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences.
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing specifically in gas turbines, power generation equipment, rotating machinery, or related energy technologies.
- Strong understanding of GT-based CCPP/CHP solutions, mechanical/electrical balance-of-plant systems, and project development cycles.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-value industrial/energy projects.
- Experience dealing with EPCs, utilities, industrial customers, O&G companies, and government stakeholders across India.
- Technical background preferred (Mechanical/Electrical engineering). MBA is an added advantage.

- Ability to analyze customer requirements and build value-based proposals.
- Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, competitive environment.
- Willingness to travel across India as required.
