We are seeking a Deputy / Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale electrical Low Side works for hyperscale data center projects, mainly involving electrical low side works i.e MV and LV System, RMUs, Transformers, busduct, UPS, cabling system, ELV system etc
This role is suited for a mid-level EPC professional with strong exposure to project coordination, procurement follow-ups, vendor and client interface, and adherence to defined project management processes. The Deputy / Assistant Project Manager will closely support the Senior Project Manager in driving project execution, reporting, coordination, and compliance across cross-functional teams.
The Deputy / Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for supporting project delivery objectives related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and cash flow, while ensuring effective coordination between stakeholders and compliance with established PM processes and EHS requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Support the Project Manager in achieving technical, financial, and delivery objectives of the project.
- Coordinate procurement activities including PRs, RFQs, techno-commercial clarifications, order placement follow-ups, and delivery tracking with vendors and internal supply chain teams.
- Act as a key interface between vendors, site teams, engineering, Quality, planning, and the client/PMC for day-to-day project coordination.
- Assist in preparation and consolidation of project reports covering progress, milestones, risks, issues, and cash flow status.
- Assist in monitoring requirement management, change management, and scope alignment across project stakeholders.
- Participate in project review meetings, supplier meetings, and client coordination meetings as required.
- Track action items, commitments, and closures across internal and external stakeholders.
- Support identification and tracking of project risks and opportunities and escalate deviations to the Project Manager.
- Ensure adherence to EHS guidelines, site execution plans, and quality requirements during project execution.
- Assist in monitoring contractual obligations related to vendors and subcontractors in coordination with Project Manager.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience & Competencies
- 8–10 years of experience in EPC project execution, preferably in electrical infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to data center projects, mission-critical facilities, or fast-track electrical projects will be an added advantage.
- Strong experience in procurement coordination, vendor management, and client/PMC interaction.
- Hands-on experience in project reporting, tracking, and coordination across multiple functions.
- Familiarity with structured project management processes; exposure to PM@Siemens or equivalent frameworks is an advantage.
- Good understanding of electrical Low Side systems such as LV panels, UPS, batteries, cabling, earthing, and auxiliary systems.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, schedule-driven project environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
