We are looking for: Senior Analytics Engineer

You’ll break new ground by:

• Build outstanding, scalable data models by extracting and transforming data from various sources using our modern ingestion tools like SnapLogic and Confluent Cloud. 
• Shape and implement the data architecture, including standards for data models, metadata, and security, ensuring adherence to the overall architectural vision. 
• Drive protocols in a DataOps environment, participating in code reviews, retrospectives, and encouraging a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. 
• Implement effective and sophisticated database solutions in Snowflake to store, retrieve, and transform company data for analytical applications. 
• Produce meaningful metrics and logs to debug, trace, and supervise data pipelines and models, ensuring high data quality and reliability. 
• Be a valued technical leader, mentor, collaborator, and champion of protocols within an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
• Act as a key consultant and enabler for data teams across Siemens, helping them tackle complex data modeling and data warehousing challenges. 

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

• A university degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Extensive experience in data engineering and data warehousing, with a consistent record of building and maintaining complex data models. 
• Expert-level programming skills in SQL and deep proficiency with dbt.
• Strong experience working with cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
• Familiarity with modern data ingestion frameworks and tools such as SnapLogic or Confluent Cloud. 
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python.
• Proven experience with major Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and working in agile software development environments. 
• A problem-solving and data-first approach, with the ability to create real business value.
• Excellent command of English is required and German is an added advantage.
