What You Will Do:
Lead System Integration Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive integration strategies and plans for polyfunctional robots, covering mechanical, electrical, software, and control subsystems.
Hardware-Software Integration: Orchestrate and validate the seamless integration of all robot hardware components (actuators, sensors, power systems, computing modules) with the embedded and high-level control software, ensuring proper communication, synchronization, and data flow.
Inter-Subsystem Communication & Networking: Configure, test, and optimize communication networks (e.g., EtherCAT, CAN) between various robot subsystems, ensuring real-time performance, data integrity, and robust connectivity.
Testing & Validation: Design and execute rigorous system-level testing, validation, and verification plans (e.g., HIL, SIL, FAT) to ensure the robot meets overall performance, reliability, and safety requirements. Identify and resolve complex integration issues.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis of integrated robotic systems to identify root causes of failures and implement effective solutions.
Performance Optimization: Analyze overall system performance and identify bottlenecks. Collaborate with component-level experts (e.g., controls, embedded, mechatronics) to optimize integrated system behavior.
Functional Safety Compliance: Lead the effort to ensure the integrated system adheres to relevant functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Documentation: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for integration challenges, facilitating communication and problem-solving between Perception & AI, Embedded Systems, Control, and Mechatronics teams. This includes
o Defining and managing interfaces and protocols.
o Providing critical feedback to all teams regarding system-level performance. Support deployment and provide expert-level troubleshooting during initial operational phases.
o Establishing and maintaining robust configuration management practices.
o Creating detailed integration guides, test reports, troubleshooting procedures, and system documentation. Facilitate knowledge transfer to manufacturing, field service, and future development teams.
