What this role offers:

This role is for a professional with responsibility for Offer management of HV AIS portfolio.  A highly agile solution-minded professional who can think out of the box and achieve business targets.
The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end bid and proposal activities for multi-product basket, ensuring technically optimized and commercially competitive offers.
The Candidate shall be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, improving win rates, and strengthening market presence across key segments.

Job summary:

Proposal & Offer Mgmt.
  • Own & manage end to end Bid management process for HV AIS portfolio opportunities in line with customer requirements and tender timelines
  • Ensure timely bid submission including technical and commercial proposal preparation for allocated region/customer base.
  • Develop proposals based on clear technical application understanding, ensuring the best-fit solution/ configuration to customers.
  • Drive proposals through effective risk identification, mitigation and compliance checks.

Bid strategy & KPIs
  • Develop and implement effective bid and pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and win rate.  
  • Review and validate costing, pricing strategy, and risk assessments before submission.
  • Drive Business KPIs not limited to Order intake growth, Conversion ratio, Profitability, Market coverage across segments (Utilities, EPCs, Industries, Infra)
  • Owning specific market segment & driving end to end growth strategy for maximizing share of wallet

Sales Collaboration & Customer Engagement
  • Address a diversified customer base across India, including utilities, EPCs, industries, and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to develop value proposition.
  • Support the sales team in customer clarifications & negotiations during bidding stages.
  • Align offerings with customer needs, technical requirements, and application scenarios.

Market Intelligence & Portfolio Development
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs to refine proposal strategies. 
  • Continuously track opportunity funnel, ensuring pipeline visibility and prioritization. 
  • Perform win-loss analysis to identify improvement areas and refine strategies. 
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor positioning.
  • Support product positioning and value proposition development.

Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with R&D, PLM supply chain, finance, Sales and operations teams to deliver optimized solutions. 
  •  Provide insights on market dynamics and demand outlook to key stakeholders across the value chain. 
  • Contribute to new portfolio development and solution enhancement aligned with Evolving customer requirements, Industry trends, Competitive landscape

Experience: -

  • 10–12 years of experience in offer management, tendering, or bidding within the power transmission & distribution industry.
  • Strong exposure to HV AIS Switchgear (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in managing large and complex bids across India.

Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of HV switchgear systems, technical specifications, and industry standards.
Expertise in techno-commercial bid preparation and pricing strategies.
Excellent project management and coordination skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
In depth knowledge on Commercial terms and conditions, Export control & taxation guidelines is prerequisite.
Excellent written & verbal communication, presentation & negotiation skills are prerequisites.
